Sophie has spent the past thirty years working in global health and development in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Central Asia/Caucasus. Her training is in health economics but much of her career has focused on evaluation of complex interventions (working in multi-disciplinary teams), health financing and affordability of care, and providing appropriate incentives for health care providers. Much of Sophie’s recent work has been focused on fragile settings, including helping Liberia develop its health financing strategy.
